Cubic Meditation
The Internal — Private Collection
Not every painting begins with something to say.
This one began with paint — metallic and earth tone acrylics applied in transparent glazes, layer over layer, each one shifting the color beneath it slightly. Blush over gold. Gray through peach. The process itself was the meditation.
The forms that emerged are suggestions rather than statements. Rectangles of light that don't quite resolve into anything beyond what they are — color, shape, and the quiet accumulation of decisions made slowly over time.
In a body of work characterized by weight and tension, this painting is the exhale.
This work is held in the artist's private collection and is not available for sale.
